Improv for Actors: An Exploration

November 9th, 16th, 23rd, December 7th

Ever fear dropping your lines on stage? How can you know how your character might behave when everything that makes them who they are lives in the script?
In truth, a character may seem to live only within the script, but for the actor to make that character real, it's what you create beyond the words on the page and demands a foundation rooted in improv.

Improv Jams

October 1

Improv Jams are not a class but a time for adults (18+) to come together, try something new, play improv games, and have fun! You'll enjoy new games every week. No experience is required, but everyone enrolled is expected to participate.

Pun Workout

November 9th and 16th

Are you a fan of wordplay, dad jokes, and groan-worthy humor? Are you a language lover? Join us for an entertaining pun class where you'll dive into the world of puns and discover the art of crafting clever and punny phrases. This interactive 2-hour session will explore the intricacies of puns, from double entendres to playful twists on words.

Erin O'Halloran Foerg Youth Fund

The Youth Fund was established by the School of Improv's parent organization, The Blue Door Theatre, in recognition of Erin’s retirement after 15 years of service. Her leadership, hard work, and time kept the theater operating and growing over the years. She maintained a commitment to kids and youth doing improv and kept costs low for youth in our community.

This fund provides scholarships for Spokane School of Improv classes and camps. It also helps fund Improv League.

We appreciate your generosity.
