Youth Classes & Camps

The Spokane School of Improv specializes in designing classes and camps that cater to youth ages 8 - 12 and teenagers.

We offer a dynamic and creative environment where they can express their imagination, build confidence, and have fun while learning improv.

Whether your child is a budding performer or simply looking for a fun and engaging way to develop life skills, our diverse programs provide the perfect platform to foster creativity, teamwork, and self-expression.

Led by experienced faculty, our camps provide a supportive and inclusive environment where students can try out new skills, take risks in their learning, and have a blast doing it.

Youth Classes

Monthly Youth Improv Jams

Feb 7, Mar 7, April 4, May 2

Youth Improv Jams are back!

Our improv youth classes  provide a unique opportunity for young minds to improv(e) their skills while having a blast. Our classes focus on creating an environment for building confidence, self-expression, and creativity.

Come learn the building blocks of improvisational theater!  Each workshop will focus on a different aspect of improv and having fun with improv. Kids may be enrolled at any time.

Students will be placed in age-appropriate groups, with dedicated classes for both kids and teens. Every month we will learn new exercises in a fun and encouraging environment by creating and telling stories through scene work. Improv builds communication skills, boosts self-confidence, and instills positive life skills.

Sketch Camp

July 27 - 31

At Sketch Camp, students discover how to apply improv fundamentals to write and craft engaging sketches. Throughout the program, they’ll explore techniques for heightening scenes, developing characters, and creating group sketches to share with family and friends.

Fun With Improv

August 17–21

Fun with Improv is back! In this camp, students explore a variety of improv games, learn how to create their own, and discover exciting and unique improv formats.

Improv Day Camp July

July 13-17

All Day Improv goes beyond the basics, exploring games, movement, and performance techniques. Students take four classes with different instructors focused on Improv Tools, Games, Stage, and Character—building skills for both the stage and real life.

Our Full Day Camp is our most popular camp, so this year we’re offering two sessions!
The curriculum is the same for both Full Day Camps, but because it’s improv, each session feels different every time.

At checkout, please be sure to select which session you’re enrolling in

Improv Day Camp August
